Got to Go to Work
Interviewed with Yolanda Garcia (resident manager) and Javany (last name?) at the Brighton Park Apartments in Claremont, CA for a position as ‘courtesy patrol.’ The job is nights, most often 9PM to 5AM and occasionally 10PM to 6AM. The work days are Tuesday nights from Saturday nights, with Sunday and Monday off. Most holidays that fall on the day off will more than likely have to be worked.
Starting pay is $8.00 and hour (minimum wage in CA) and I have to live in one of the apartments on the premises - that is okay because I move from a one bedroom at Barlow-West Apts. to a 2 bedroom/1-1/2 bath apartment (small, but still two bedrooms) - going from 615SF to 811SF - not a big increase, but I’ll take it. Along with the move comes an employee discount off the rent that is a great discount.
Looking forward to the change… and so it begins…
