If you ride a bike, or believe you should ride a bike, or want to ride a bike, get involved in helping to make it a more bike-friendly environment.
Quit saying, “I wish someone would do something,” and get off your duff and do it yourself.
At most minimalist/simplicity blogs, eventually some one (okay, most everyone) will quote or paraphrase Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Well, here’s a chance to put your thoughts into action. Go to the website, sign up, follow along, and find more excuses to ride your bike. Commute one day a week. Run an errand on your bike, especially if it is less than two miles. Go visit someone by riding over to their place on your bike. Find a charity event, sign up to raise a few bucks, and ride when the time comes.
There are tons of ways and reasons to ride a bike. ’Google it’ and see for yourself. Find something that interests you, and ride your bike.
The Tour de France starts tomorrow (Saturday). Cheer on your favorite rider(s) or team, bur realize this - you don’t have to be a bicycle racer to be a fan and you don’t need the latest, most expensive titanium/carbon fiber racing bike to get out and ride around your neighborhood.
